The boss of Preya Music Company is also expected at the Douala I research
brigade for investigation.
Following the granting of an overdraft facility of more than two million
FCFA representing bonuses, the Crédit Agricole-Société camerounaise
de banque (Ca Scb) has initiated legal proceedings against
musician Ndédi Eyango.
According to Le Messager of
Wednesday, September 14, 2016, the boss of Preya Music owes more than three million CFA
francs to the bank.
Reached by telephone on September 12, the artist who
just returned from a journey attempted to provide some explanations: “It’s a story dating back to
2009. The bank made a serious mistake. Prince Ndedi Eyango is the founder of
Preya Music and not the manager. Between 2009 and today, there have been three
managers. To be honest, Preya has been closed since 2003 due to piracy of
musical works. Meanwhile, me Ndedi Eyango, I never received any notice. “
Moreover, Ndedi Eyango points an accusing finger at the lobbies in the
shadows. “We know who is behind this
campaign to tarnish our image with the public and authorities who want to
redress the copyright management. This is the same person who in 2013 had
published our official documents in the press, “says the
artist.
A
press conference for illuminating the public on this is also intended by
the artist, the newspaper said.
