Augustin Nkoma, The main sponsor of the Association for the promotion of development activities (Apad)has been detained since Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Kondengui central prison after spending for 4 days in a cell of the Regional Directorate of judicial police for the Centre in Yaoundé, on the basis of a written complaint by the housekeeper of mother of the wife President Paul Biya son,Frank Biya.
Mr.Augustin Nkoma is the head of the above association which is charge with development issues, is accused of using the name of the stepmother mother-Franck Biya to defraud the Cameroonian authorities.
Mr. Nkoma denies it and argues that he wanted to link some Cameroonian authorities in an Indian businessmen which Mrs. Baroux became interested.
But, Augustin Nkoma partnerships with Indian businessmen, according to security services is an attempt to scam the dignitaries of the Republic using the name of Mrs Christine Baroux Nyangono,the stepmother Franck Biya, son of the head of State of Cameroon,Paul Biya.
According to information, Everything started in May. After Augustin Nkoma return from India, he informed the stepmother of Franck Biya in Douala that he is interested to bring an Indian partner who is interested renewable energy project in Cameroon.
The latter promises to reach Cameroonian authorities through his son-Franck Biya,about the said development project. Thus Augustine Nkoma contacted some senior officials of the Republic to tell them about the project.
Things went well until the 8th of July, when the Presidency of the Republic, realized that the name of the mother-Franck Biya is involved in a development partnership project with an Indian businessman brought by Augustin Nkoma. Ms. Baroux denies being involved in this matter and contact Nkoma to express her displeasure of having been linked with this case. The latter apologizes through phone messages and emails and the incident was closed, writes hurinews.com
A few days later, Augustin Nkoma who is also a member of the true Pentecostal church based in Yaoundé went to Garoua Boulaï (in eastern Cameroun, on the border with the Central African Republic) on behalf of this church to announce a charity to be held in the coming days.
While in Garoua Boulaï , Franck Biya’s stepmother phoned Augustin Nkoma who told him of an impending charity among CAR refugees. Ms. Baroux promises to contribute to this charity. He returned to Yaoundé and was having an appointment with officials of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (Hcr)on the afternoon of Friday 22 July during which he was called on the phone by the housekeeper of Mrs. Baroux. The housekeeper Arrange an appointment with Augustin Nkoma at Dolce Vita, at the Elysee Bakery,just near the old Abbia cinema during which The housekeeper was accompanied by a bodyguard of the stepmother of Franck Biya, (a serving police inspector in mobile Grouping No. 1 response unit of the Cameroonian police).

By the time the group went to Hcr located Bastos neighborhood in Yaounde, he made a detour at the mobile Grouping No. 1 Intervention (GMI) at the Police Academy in Tsinga neighborhood where the police inspector said he wanted recover some of his belongings.it was then that Augustine Nkoma was detained by the orders of Commissioner of police of the Gmi # 1.
The Commissioner of Police grabbed an A4 paper and a pen and gave the housekeeper’s stepmother Franck Biya who wrote the complaint on behalf of her boss who is in France. From the GMI, Mr. Nkoma is transferred to the Drpj before his final destination of Kondengui last Thursday were he will stay till his trail begins on 19th August 2016.
