Welcome once more to unclecarlsblog people. My article for today is based on upcoming artists who have very little or no income and have a musical passion and wish to pursue a musical career. We in Cameroon and its very difficult to face a career in the arts sector as not only your parents wont concor, the country`s economy won`t help either...I know many of my friends/colleagues out there who truly have a dying passion for music and yet the situations him/her gets to face is discouraging and they turn to lost all their hopes on becoming a true artist.
First, you have to recognise and accept the fact that you are an upcoming artist what do i mean by that, you have to work you got the passion right? let it drive you aim for it in your head situate yourself within the artists blogosphere, rapping( though i won`t advice anyone to go for it as an upcoming artist trying to make money out of music), afro trap, afro pop you can name it. Situate yourself and find a good style, be unique and focus on the process. Keep doing that by yourself in your room or in your bathroom keep singing and get familiar with singing like marry your music, your style and most essentially your culture. You have no money right?? that`s the reason you reading this post in the first place i know so don`t go for a sound engineer that is already known or established unless you wanna give your ears some price wicklow...lol as you aspire to be an artist there is another aspiring to be a sound engineer better find one of them and link up...Go to the big name sound engineer on your spare time and sit behind him an listen to others sing( it sounds weird right?) it builds you a musical spirit for sure and lets just say one day on one lucky day he`s gonna be doing a beats and you be humming to it and he will listen(trust me they alwayss listen even if you humming only their ears are wide open to ideas) and if you sound good my brother/sister you might get a chance to get on the mic or write a song for someone and thats the beggining of something good.
Moreso, i used to be around friends who used to freestyle like the whole day and more and i use to sometimes try it out maself (funny right lol) but you have to interract with people in your same career search goal, another might have had an opportunity and did not prove himself good enough and you bang that chance. Yeah interaction is good and very important....but shine you eye ooo cuz you can sing your song and another go record it like the case of Tuface and his crew......
Now, its time to save up after listening at the back to a sound engineer working on an artist`s song or recording an artist as well as interacting,, its time to record yourself on a microphone, well like i said as you upcoming, there`s a street or zone producer that hasnt yet made a name and do songs for 20.000FCFA( Salatiel, pazzo alias Sangtum, phillbillbeatz and many others did songs for as low as 20.000FCFA i dont need to ask them i know so) go to him after saving up good enough he would have all the time in the world to work with you and not a name producer who won`t actually concerntrate on you because he got a chunk of work and if you not good enough he just records as he wants and gives you but a zone producer will take his time to work with you and teach you the to and fro`s of how to sing good and how to sound good on a microphone. I hope 20.000FCFA is affordable though because if you can`t save up to 20k then bro/sis better go online download a freebeats then go to the street or no name producer and give him 5.000FCFA just to record and if you don`t have 5k bro/sis your case is special.
Ok now you have a song within your grasp and you asking yourself the way forward......yeah bro/sis at this point things are will be getting real nasty and tense up cuz you need a video( video sounds gain more attention as the world has gotten more visualistic than actually listening to audios and MP3 files. What i mean is, you need a video). Hmmm guys like Nkeng Stephen and Adah Akenji will price you a million or more for a video clip, you can`t afford that right? unless your mom`s savings will be in danger at home lol....From here i maself found it difficult raising a point here. You know there are visual schools out there right ( this is a personal opinion) there are schools that offer video making and editing courses so approach that school and find someone thats almost in the last quarter of his formation and just creat a friendly relationship with him don`t first go and start talking about you wanting a video NO...... get him to know you and vice versa let him know that you love music then after like a month or two propose he shoots your video for you and you will rent the camera for him(obviously he is still in school and would love to be on set to test his ability) well for the renting of the camera, you kind of need money too but not that much though about 30-40000FCFA will help do some magic and even though he might or might not produce the quality you need, there is always a begining for something people always get better as long as they are willing to work for harder so with you both brains together something great can happen ...
"Na for here wey yahwah go gas" Promotion you need to promote that song video and here`s were all your efforts should double cuz i dont think you recorded that song for your family and friends only you want people to listen, you want a fanbase. there are 2 basic means of promotion Online and Offline ( Social media and T.V /radio station media centers). Principally i would like to say (personaly) Douala is the town head for our music cuz most T.V personalities and radio stations main center is in Douala the economic city and if you are in an area like Bamenda then this will be very very difficult to pull through b ut if you are in Buea/Kumba/Yaounde then be prepared to drive into Douala for a more better audience. Lets beging with online first you need a Facebook page(very important) if possible get like 5.000Fcfa to sponsor your page atleast to get a fan base and get people know you exist. Go for a blogger we have many bloggers now in Cameroon atleast not like back then now we have some like ( 237Showbiz of Emmanuel Mfon, 237exclusive of Eliane Achu i maself and many others) doing some good job online go close to them atleast them not yet expensive that much with les say 10.000FCFA some of them will do a good job and why not sponsor your video on Fcaebook for you atleast if you sponsored it on your page and the blogger does same on his page that can help greatly.For the T.V personalities you need some money too lets say 20.000FCFA go close to the main T.V Stations in Douala and ask to see the commercial center then figure out one person from there that seems nice and get his number then wait for some time like in the evening when he closes from work give him a call then go discuss with him(professionally) then give him like 10.000FCFA to begin with your song in a key then you can pay in the rest later when its promising.
So you almost close to a career boost now you have to keep working and focus and more work and more focus and just let time play his role in your life if its meant to be then maybe your phone will ring one day or you shall find a potential sponsor that felt your music is worth an investment......Well i did not speak about approaching a label cuz when you do so when you havent actually shown an effort you can be manhandled or used instead of actually you using your talent to help you all grow they shall maybe use you to make money instead and you get just the crumbs of the table but when you`ve done all as said above a label knows you in for something and turns to be more serious with you cuz you not completely dependent on them.
Finally, your role as an upcoming artists with little or no income is to go not actually for the best quality which is expensive but rather for a less expensive or lets say affordable yet good to quality and keep working cuz you don`t know who is watching nor listen and were your light can shine from.
N.B
Do not spend your whole time thinking and doing only music you can concertrate on your school and have music as partime only and do look for a holiday job to generate income so as to pay for the above stated cuz like 100.000FCFA can do some magic.... the long holiday is a 3 month free time to work lets say 30.000FCFA per month and keep like 90.000FCFA in 3 months and can do something or better still save up for like a year or two to be sure to get into music with a little cuz from my post there is nothin you can do without money actually and music needs money.

Bienvenue une fois de plus à unclecarlsblog. Mon article d’aujourd'hui repose sur des artistes amateur qui ont très peu ou aucun revenu et ont une passion musicale et souhaitent poursuivre une carrière musicale. Ici au Cameroun ce très difficile de pousuivre une carrière dans le secteur des arts comme non seulement vos parents n`est serais pas dacord, l’économie du pays ne t`aidera non plus... Je sais que beaucoup de mes amis/collègues ont vraiment une mourante passion pour la musique et pourtant les situations que lui/elle rencontre est décourageant et ils finissent en perdant l`espoire de devenir un véritable artiste.
Tout d’abord, vous devez reconnaître et accepter le fait que vous êtes un amateur dan la musique Qu`est-ce que je veux dire par que la, vous avez la passion n`esper ? Laissez-le vous visez pour ver le chemin la dans votre tête et surtout vous devez vous trouvez dan la blogosphère artistes si ce le Rap,afro trap, afro pop, vous pouvez le nommer. Vous devez vous situer et trouver un bon style, unique et concerntré toi. Gardez cela pour vous-même en chantant, en s`entrainé dans votre chambre ou dans votre salle de bains bon enfaite vous devez se familiariser avec le chant comme épouser votre musique, votre style et plus essentiellement aussi votre culture. Vous n’avez aucun argent n`esper ?? C’est la raison pour laquelle vous lisez ce post je croix, n’allez pas chez un ingénieur du son qui est déjà connu ou mis en place sauf si vous voulez donner à vos oreilles certains prix wicklow... lol comme vous aspirez à être un artiste il y a un autre qui aspirent à devenir un ingénieur du son pari ter en trouver un d’eux et tu doit s`accrocher ver lui... Aller à l’ingénieur du son grand nom sur votre temps libre et de s’asseoir derrière lui en écoutant d’autres chanter (ça sonne bizarre n`esper ?) il vous génère un esprit musical à coup sûr et disons juste un jour surement un jour de chance il va faire un beats et vous être fredonner à lui et il écoutera (croyez-moi ils écouteront même si vous ne fredonner seulement leurs oreilles sont grandes ouvertes aux idées) et si vous etes sur le bon chemin mon frère/soeur, vous pourriez obtenir une chance de chanté devant un micro ou écrire une chanson pour quelqu'un et c’est le début de quelque chose.
Plus encore, j’avais l’habitude d’être autour d’amis habitués à freestyle comme toute la journée et plus encore et j’essayer parfois (drôle n`esper lol) mais vous devez interagir avec les gens dans votre objectif de recherche professionnel même, un autre aurait pu avoir l’occasion et n’a pas prouvé assez bien et vous pouvez obtenir cette chance. Oui l’interaction est bon et très important... mais ouvrez vous yeux ooo parce que vous pouvez chanter votre chanson et l’autre par enregistrer comme dans le cas du Tuface et ses équipiers...
Maintenant, ce temps à mettre en place après avoir écouté à l’arrière un ingénieur du son travailler sur la chanson d’un artiste, ce l`heur de vous enregistré aussi bien comme je le disais comme vous etes encore amateur, qu'il y a un producteur dan ton quartier ou de la zone qui enregistre cameme meme comme il n’a pas encore fait un nom mais il faire des chansons celui la peut vous fait un son a 20.000FCFA (Les Salatiel, pazzo, alias Sangtum, phillbillbeatz et beaucoup d’autres ont fait les chansons aussi a 20.000FCFA je n’ai besoin de leur demander je sais qu`il sont passer pas la) aller ver lui après avoir trouvé meme le peut que vous avez parce qu’il aurait tout le temps dans le monde pour travailler avec toi et pas un producteur de grand nom qui ne sera pas réellement efficient sur vous parce qu’il a trop de travail deja et puit il n`aura pas assez de temp pour vous diriger si vous ne chantée pas si bien donc il va enregistre et vius donner meme si vous ne chanteé pas bien et que vous avez encore peu de l`experience au studio, mais un producteur de la zone san nom prendra son temps pour travailler avec vous et de vous enseigner sur la façon de chanter et comment reaggir ou posée devant un microphone. J’espère que 20.000FCFA est abordable parce que si vous ne pouvez pas enregistrer meme comme le prix et a 20mille bro/sis mieux d’aller en ligne Télécharger un freebeats puis allez cher le producteur du quartier et lui donner 5.000FCFA juste pour enregistrer et si vous n’avez pas 5 k bro/sis votre cas est particulier.
OK, maintenant vous avez une chanson à votre portée et vous vous demandez comment continuer... ouais bro/sis à ce stade, les choses sont vers le haut parce que vous avez besoin d’une vidéo (des sons vidéo gagner plus d’attention que l`audio le monde est devenu plus visualistic qu’en fait l’écoute de fichiers audio et fichiers MP3 passe mais la video rend sa plus top. Ce que je veux dire, vous avez besoin d’une vidéo). Hmmm les gars comme Nkeng Stephen et Adah Akenji task 1 million ou plus pour un clip vidéo, vous ne supporteriez pas n`esper ? àu moins que des économies de votre maman "la tontine" sera en danger à la maison lol...bon c`etais aussi difficile de trouvé/soulever les points ici. Vous savez il y a les écoles audiovisuel n`esper (c’est un avis personnel) ce les écoles qui forme les étudiante a monté des vidéo, shooter et plusier chose bon aller ver cette école et trouver quelqu'un qui est presque dans le dernier quart de sa formation et chercher a créer juste une relation amicale avec lui ne commence pas de lui parle de ta vidéo NON...faut dabord la connaissance et puit parle lui de ta passion musical en lui fait écouté tes projets et ce qui es sur ce que il peut vous demander ou bien propose qu`il shoot ta vidéo et vous louerez les caméra pour lui (il est évidemment encore à l’école et il serais ravi d’être sur le terrain pour tester sa capacité) Eh bien pour la location de la caméra, vous avez besoin d’argent aussi mais pas tant que ça, bien disont 30-40000FCFA aidera à faire un peu de la magie et même s’il peut ou peut ne pas produire de la qualité dont vous avez besoin , il y a toujours un début de quelque chose de gens s’améliore toujours, tant qu’ils sont prêts à redoubler les efforts donc avec vos deux cerveaux ensemble quelque chose de grand peut arriver...
La Promotion vous devez promouvoir la vidéo de la chanson et voici la ou tous vos efforts devrait double parce que je ne pense pas que vous avez enregistré cette chanson pour votre famille et vos amis seulement, vous voulez une fanbase. Il y a 2 moyens de promotion, promotion en ligne et hors ligne (T.V /radio station et réseaux sociaux). Principalement, . commencer en premier lieu en ligne, vous avez besoin d’un Facebook page (très important) si possible obtenir comme 5.000Fcfa pour sponsorié et avoir un fan base et surtout fait savoir aux gens que vous existez. Optez pour un blogueur, nous avons de nombreux blogueurs maintenant au Cameroun au moins pas comme à l’époque maintenant, nous avons certains comme (bimstr,237Showbiz de Emmanuel Mfon, 237exclusive de Eliane Achu, moi et bien d’autres) faire quelque chose de bon job en ligne aller près d’eux au moins avec 10.000FCFA, certains d'entre eux va faire un bon travail et pourquoi pas parrainer votre vidéo sur Facebook et vous aussi devez parrainé votre page et le blogueur fait même sur sa page et sa peut vous aider. Pour la T.V personnalités dont vous avez besoin de l’argent disons 20.000FCFA aller à proximité des principales Stations T.V à Douala et demandez à voir le centre commercial puis cibler une personne de là qui semble agréable et obtenir son numéro, puis patientez pendant un certain temps comme le soir quand il rentre du travail donnez lui un appel puis allez discuter avec lui puis lui donner comme 10.000FCFA pour commencer avec votre chanson a partager, puis vous pouvez payer le reste plus tard lorsque sa donne déjà.
Vous étés presque à proximité d’un coup de pouce dan ta carrière maintenant, vous devez garder le travail et la mise au point et plus de travail et plus se concentre et juste laisser le temp de Dieu de jouer son rôle dans votre vie si ce destinée à être alors peut-être l`heure votre téléphone sonnera un jour ou vous trouverez un investisseur potentiel qui va investir dan votre musique... Eh bien, que je ne parlais pas à approcher un label parce que quand vous le faites quand vous n’avez pas montré réellement un effort vous pouvez être malmené ou utilisé au lieu de réellement vous utilisez vos talents pour tous vous aider à grandir ils vous utiliseront peut-être à faire de l’argent, et vous obtenez juste les miettes de la table, mais lorsque vous avez terminé tous comme dit en haut un investisseur vous connaîtra et les chose vont commencé a donner.....
