The former Indomitable Lions defender Raymond Kalla is ultimately not the only person who claims to have been injured in the transaction that allowed Stéphane Mbia, the Indomitable Lion, to end up at the Chinese club Hebei Fortune Chiba FC. The Algerian agent Khirat Toufik also presents himself as a victim of the old Sevillian. He explains his misadventure in an outlet made in the columns of the Algerian newspaper “Le Buteur“.
“We were approached by officers authorized by the Chinese club to look for a player with a profile like that of Stéphane M’bia and as we were already working on him with his consent for England we proposed him, because because he was eager to leave the Turkish club! Then we continued negotiations with Rita, his representative – it is M’Bia who sent us to her – she asked me to finalize everything with the Chinese before signing the contract with the player and that is that we did! Once the Chinese accepted the profile of Stéphane, we stopped asking their mandate and we were always told tomorrow, where I never had time meanwhile the Stéphane file was still being negotiated and once the negotiation completed, there was no more news, “he says.
He accused the Cameroonian footballer of scam while recalling that a process is underway to allow him and Raymond Kalla to have their rights. “The most appropriate word would rather be a scam. Raymond Kalla told me to have complete confidence in the player and it turns out that this is a dishonest person and unscrupulous that record the work we have done, Raymond Kalla has initiated proceedings against the player to advance our rights and for justice to be done, “he says. Raymond Kalla had filed a complaint against Stéphane Mbia and Mrs. Rita Meboka on August 11, 2016 at the Regional Division of the Judicial Police of the Littoral in the Bonanjo neighborhood in Douala. A source close to the dossier says the complainant claimed 1,500,000 euros from the accused. Angered by the gesture of the old number 5 of the Indomitable Lions, Stephane Mbia was counter attacked by depositing in turn a complaint for blackmail and attempted fraud against Raymond Kalla still in service of the Regional Division of the Judicial Police of the Littoral.
“The facts reported in the press are grotesque and improbable and are in reality a strategy set up by Raymond Kalla Nkongo to defraud and blackmail” we could read in the signed complaint, filed on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 by Mr. Ngouana Mustapha, Stéphane Mbia’s lawyer. The latter swore to have no contract with Raymond Kalla he does not know as a player agent.
