NIGERIA : 4 WOMEN SLAUGHTERED BY BOKO HARAM..REASONS WHY ARE TERRIBLE

Four women have been slaughtered in a village in the northeast of Nigeria by Boko Haram militants, reported Saturday by militiamen who are fighting against the Islamist rebels.
Assailants on a motorcycle fifteen arose Friday night at Mairari, an isolated village located 80 kilometres from Maiduguri, capital of Borno State. They were out of their homes, women aged 27 to 45, and have their throats slit them, according to the testimonies of the militia.
"They went in four houses while residents broke the fasting (ramadan) about 7 p.m. (18 H 00 GMT), they released the four women and have sliced them the throat ', told AFP a militia Member, Babakura Kolo.
According to him and another militiaman, Musa Ari, the attackers deliberately targeted women, either because their husbands had refused to join the ranks of the Islamist rebellion, or because Boko Haram suspect these men to inform the authorities.
Since the launch of its armed rebellion in 2009, Boko Haram has kidnapped thousands of people, including women and children, to enrol them forcibly as combatants, or use them as sex slaves or as human bombs.
This rebellion was more than 20,000 deaths and 2.6 million refugees.
The armies of the four countries affected by Boko Haram - Nigeria, Chad, Niger and Cameroon - announced Thursday the imminent launch of a major offensive against the Islamist rebels, after a bloody attack in the South of Niger.
